Naukuchiatal

The ‘Lake of Nine Corners’ is known for its tranquil, clear waters and is a beloved destination for boating, kayaking and water sports like paragliding and zorbing. At 175 feet, it is the deepest among all the Himalayan lakes in Nainital district. Kumaoni folklore says that performing a circumambulation or parikrama of the lake brings you good fortune. Every May, the area hosts the ‘Escape Festival’ an intimate, bohemian arts and music festival.

Bhimtal

Surrounded by dense oak and pine forests, this freshwater lake offers a scenic getaway with leisure activities like pedal boating, rowboating, shikara rides, kayaking and water zorbing. During winters, you can spot the Emerald Dove and Tawny Fish Owl here among other migratory birds along with the high altitude Himalayan Monal.

A group of pristine mountain lakes nestled within an oak forest, Sattal is one of the most exquisite places to see in Nainital.
