The open kitchen is another step in encouraging an easy flow ideas and thoughts. When you choose to enter the kitchen to recreate ‘Memory on a Plate’, you get to put on a custom-designed apron and chef’s hat. After a discussion with the chef, you can pick a dish that best describes your childhood, a family legacy, your most beloved comfort food or a rare secret from your kitchen. The staff arranged ingredients and you whip up your dish on the spot. After cooking, you’re gifted a certificate to mark the fun occasion. If your dish really impresses the chef, your family’s culinary secret will find its way to the permanent menu at Tajview.

A vacation at Tajview – IHCL SeleQtions is a journey back to a slower, sweeter time of meaningful human connections. In an effort to travel back to the days of slow travel and communication, custom-designed postcards are available at the hotel. Guests can write on them by hand, at leisure. After addressing them to loved ones, they drop the tokens of affection into the bright red post box at the entrance of the hotel. A small gesture that delights both sender and receiver, this endearing activity is hugely popular.

The book readers love to carry a book while they travel. Once you are done with your existing book, Tajview offers an option of exchanging your old book with another book from the collection we have in the beautiful library located at the Lobby Level. You my also choose to sit and read in the library or carry a book to read in your room.

Sprawled at the back of the grounds, the hotel’s organic fruit orchards and vegetable gardens are open to guests. You can join the chefs on a herb picking mission or chat with the gardener about ripe country guavas on a morning walk. One of the most popular activities is planting a sapling, Getting your hands dirty and learning about organic farming methods – including the organic waste system – is a refreshing experience. It connects guests to the fresh food that the garden blesses the kitchen with.
